My snow day adventure on the farm
A day on the farm....
This past winter we had a ton of snow days at school, so one morning when school was called off I decided to go to the farm with Jason. I am not much of a farm girl, so I knew it was going to be quite an adventure. We fed hay to the cows with the tractor, and checked the chicken buildings. I had to chase cows around to keep them inside the fence when we opened the gate. That was exciting! Cows are huge. I think I was as scared of them as they were of me.
Jason and his parents also have a farm dog named Blue. I'm not sure if he liked the fact that I had a snow day, because usually when Jason does chores he gets to ride in the tractor and sit by Jason in the truck. Blue let me know that I was invading his space when he nipped me when I tried to sit in his spot in the truck. I could not blame him. Driving around the country side with Jason after a fresh snow is really fun!

My Hometown
I am a big hometown girl. My family opened a store in my hometown this past year. The store is called the Wooden Oar Co. and it is located in Lake View, Iowa. This July Jason and I traveled back to Lake View to visit my parents and to take place in the annual Lake View Water Carnival. My sister-in-law, Crystal played in a mud volleyball tournament, and Jason and I had a float in the parade. We drove my parents weekend jeep in the parade. We had a great time, and I can't wait to go back and go for a jet ski ride and see my parents again.

My Nephew
Jace is getting bigger than ever! He just celebrated a birthday, and he is so smart! He went to the zoo for his b-day, and knows the sounds of so many animals. We love him so much! I can't wait for Livia to be big enough to play with him on his new swing set he got for his birthday.

At The Store
My family and I get to spend a lot of time together working at the store. At the WOC we sell all sorts of stuff from home decorations, Iowa wines, jewelry, clothing, and much more. We have so much fun meeting people that come to enjoy the lake, the campground, and the bike trails. I try to get home often to spend time with my family and enjoy the lake too!
